Rather than simply hosting wiki (which is always an option), we aim to consider wiki as private by default - that is we see wiki as a primarily a personal note taking system for your eyes only, and we aim to give you more control of how and where you publich wiki to.
# Desktop Wiki While it possile to provide privacy using authentication and cloud based hosting of wiki, our default preference is to run wiki on our own hardware - most commonly a laptop. In this way we view address privacy the same way you might consider and Obsidian based wiki private, or regular documents kept on you laptop as private.
# Firewall Privacy This form of privacy is as weak or (in)secure as any of your files on your laptop are secure. Wihout proper encryption of the file system it is best considered as casually secure.
# Encryption Our aim is to preserve wiki as a simple markdown editor, but integrate this with highly secure p2p protocols, DIDs and self-sovereign identity. These steps are essential as we integrate wiki into governance for the Governance Game and regovern.org.
